On 14 September the Union of Nurses and Midwives (MUMN) notified to the Health Division that the Union was amending the directive on the distribution of medicines in the halls. The Government appreciates this step and considers that it is in the right direction. However, the Union urges Government to stop all directives that are harmful to the sick, including the directive not to collect the dangerous drugs from hospital pharmacies to be delivered tums to patients in wards . There are internal departmental policies and laws governing the distribution of dangerous drugs and methadone which stipulate that no one can collect and distribute these drugs than the nurses and pharmacists. The Government can never accept that patients and vulnerable people suffer. Government therefore tums again urges the Union of nurses to stop suffering directives mean the sick leave continue discussions aimed at health services even further improved by developing training for nurses.
