Our mission is to shift attention towards the delicate time of the human lifespan that is preconception, in an attempt to raise awareness about and change risk behaviours associated acne with pregnancy acne complications, preterm birth and fetal abnormalities. Although inextricably linked, this is NOT a maternal health campaign our focus is primarily on the fetus/baby.
Due to the unforseen bomb scare on Friday 7th December, the seminar has been rescheduled for Tuesday 18th December at the Anatomy Lecture Theatre (nALR) in the Biomedical Sciences Building, between 15.00 -16.30hrs .
Talks acne include a general overview on Preconception Care and preparing acne for parenthood by Dr.Rita Borg Xuereb, an outline of the physiology of the Menstrual Cycle by Dr.Jean Calleja-Agius and a short speech by Ms.Marianne Massa, the founder of the Unborn Child Movement.
